Solubility of sodium oxalate in kraft black liquors above 100 °C

چکیده
The solubility of sodium oxalate was measured in kraft black liquors at temperatures 115 °C to 140 with dry solid contents 45% 70%. composition studied were varied respect concentration by addition salts. increased increasing temperature and decreased liquor contents. data showed no dependence on the a constant sodium. A mathematical expression derived validated from experimental conditions investigated predict as function concentration. An application assess precipitation risk is demonstrated seven evaporator bodies using newly models.

Lignin Separation from Kraft Black Liquors by Tangential Ultrafiltration
I n chemical pulping a large part of the wood is dissolved during digestion. The dry matter content of the generated black liquor is typically 12 to 18 wt% [1, 2]. In the case of kraft black liquors four main groups of organic constituents are present, 30-45 wt% ligneous material, 25-35 wt% saccharinic acids, about 10 wt% formic and acetic acid, and 3-5 wt% extractives. It also contains about 1...
متن کاملAntioxidant activity of lignin phenolic compounds extracted from kraft and sulphite black liquors.
The antioxidant activity of the phenolic compounds present in industrial black liquors obtained from the two cooking processes (kraft and sulphite) used in Portugal to produce Eucalyptus globulus pulp was evaluated. The black liquors treated at several pH values were extracted with ethyl acetate. Phenolic fractions were further separated by liquid chromatography of the crude extracts of kraft l...
متن کامل1 Chloride Removal from Kraft Liquors Using Ion Exchange Technology
A new system has been developed for removal of chloride contamination from kraft process liquors. The compact, skid-mounted system which utilizes ion exchange columns only 24 inches in height, is shown to be capable of removing 90-99% of the chloride from a wide variety of sources including dissolved ESP catch, oxidized white liquor, spent bleach scrubber liquors, spent ion exchange demineraliz...
متن کاملDetermination of the main aliphatic carboxylic acids in kraft black liquors by high- performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry
In kraft pulping, wood polysaccharides are subjected to the end-wise degradation (i.e., the peeling reaction) under alkaline conditions with the simultaneous formation of a large number of water/alkali-soluble hydroxy monoand dicarboxylic acids together with formic and acetic acids [1-3]. The versatile analysis of organic material in black liquor is of a great importance, for example, for monit...
متن کاملRemoval of water pollutants with activated carbons prepared from H3PO4 activation of lignin from kraft black liquors.
Activated carbons with a high BET surface area and a well-developed porosity have been prepared from pyrolysis of H3PO4-impregnated lignin precipitated from kraft black liquors. Impregnation ratios within the range of 1-3 and activation temperatures of 623-873 K have been used, giving rise to carbons with different porous and surface chemical structure. Increasing the activation temperature and...
